Immerse Yarra Valley, on the Melba Highway at Dixons Creek, is one of those venues we keep coming back to — and for good reason. We’ve shot 70+ weddings here, and it remains one of our favourites for a day that flows effortlessly from start to finish.

The chapel is the showstopper. Floor-to-ceiling windows along the rear wall frame the vineyard-laden hills behind you, so as you exchange your vows your guests are looking straight out at the ultimate Yarra Valley backdrop. After the ceremony, those same hills are where we head for your location photos — there’s no better spot to steal a few quiet minutes together, just the two of you (and us), looking out over this beautiful part of the world you chose to get married in.

What makes Immerse genuinely special, though, is that everything happens on the one property. If you’ve ever been to a wedding where the day was spent shuttling between locations, you’ll know how much that drags. With Immerse’s onsite accommodation, you can arrive in the early afternoon, get ready in separate rooms, have your ceremony, your location photos and your reception all without leaving — then stumble happily to your bridal suite at the end of the night. It saves you money too: no fancy car hire, and you’re not paying your photographer and videographer to sit in their cars driving between spots. We get to spend all that time actually shooting instead.

The reception hall has that rare, magical balance — never too full, never too empty — and a dance floor built for a proper party. One tip from someone who’s seen a lot of weddings here: say yes to the hot jam doughnuts at the end of the night. You won’t regret it.
