Acacia Ridge, set back from the Melba Highway in Yarra Glen, is one of the most genuinely welcoming venues in the Valley — and that starts the moment you meet Cathy and Lachie. If you’ve come from inspections at bigger, more corporate venues and felt a bit like a number on a spreadsheet, Acacia Ridge will feel like a deep breath. This is a family-run business that cares, and it shows.
The setting is picture-perfect: far-reaching views over the vineyard to the Yarra Valley mountains beyond, a ceremony spot at the base of the vines overlooked by an 1850s miner’s hut, and a boho-inspired marquee that gives you a genuine sense of openness and light. It works beautifully for a range of wedding sizes without ever feeling cavernous. Photographically, those vineyard-to-mountain views give us endless range — and as one Rick Liston couple noted, the combination of the relaxed atmosphere and the setting meant “we felt completely at ease from the beginning.”
The catering flexibility is arguably Acacia Ridge’s biggest practical advantage — you’re not locked into a set menu package. Bring in food trucks, go with a local caterer, or book Jessie from Locavore Studio, who in our experience has served some of the best food we’ve ever eaten at a wedding full stop. Your day, your way.
