Tell me about the beginning!

We first met in 2014 when we were put in the same group in uni and we started hanging out in a friend group after class. We quickly realised we had a lot in common and we always ended up talking for hours whilst walking aimlessly around Adelaide cbd. One day, at the end of final exams that year, we went on a hike together which would come to be our first date. It was Steffi’s idea and neither of us knew what we were getting ourselves into…8 hours of bushwalking and 2 bad sunburns later we both came to the realisation we liked nature and each other.

When and where did you get engaged?

We got engaged in July 2022 during a trip to Europe. At this stage in our relationship, Steffi had some expectation that we would get engaged, so to throw her off the scent, I told her that I wouldn’t do it in Europe because I was afraid of pickpockets. We were in the Italian Dolomites near the end of our trip and I had a sunrise spot called Passo Giau in mind. That morning I dragged her out of bed at 4:30am (we do like to chase sunrises/sunsets so this isnt too uncommon) and we drove to the spot. Surprisingly, we were alone and I proposed to her looking over the Dolomites as the sun came up.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

Spring floral palette: orange, yellow, lilac, dusty purple, steel blue

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Meeting everyone in the same space and celebrating with our loved ones.
