Tell me about your The Beginning!

We First met at our university ball in 2013. We spoke to each other briefly and went our separate ways. We bumped into each other again at a university boat cruise where we shared a dance and a kiss, again going our separate ways. In mid 2014 we both volunteered to work at our university open day where we got chatting once again. A week later we went on our first dinner date, where we again shared a kiss. A couple weeks into our dating journey Jacob decided to ask me to be his girlfriend whilst we were sitting on some bean bags. I (Georgia) said yes but then immediately retracted this and stated this location was not “romantic” enough. The following week we went of a lovely walk along the Yarra river. We sat down by the water and Jacob again tried his luck at asking me to be his girlfriend. I decided the setting was a lot nicer and finally said yes!

When and where did you get engaged?

We got engaged outside the chapel at Stones of the Yarra Valley on April 30th 2021.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

We’ve chosen a largely classical style, with a modern setting being the cappella at Zonzo and winery backdrop. Black tuxedos, elegant dresses and gentle florals.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

For the most part, getting married. We’ve planned for so long and can’t wait to actually be husband and wife. When the ceremony is done, sharing the things we love, (food, wine and a party) with our beautiful friends and family.
