Zonzo Estate Wedding of Claire and Brad

Tell me about your The Beginning!

We were two people who were fed up with dating in 2019. After numerous horrible dates and relationships we were pretty jaded. We met on Hinge or as Claire likes to call it ‘The Swipes’, and Brad pretty quickly asked Claire out on a date at a bar. The date almost never happened as Brad had date fatigue and Claire was having panic attacks because she didn’t want to put herself out there again. Alas, we did go on that date and the rest is history. We met our match and we haven’t looked back since. We’re each other’s best friend, biggest cheerleader, and rock. We can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.

When and where did you get engaged?

Brad proposed on our 2 year anniversary in March 2021. He booked us a beautiful weekend getaway in Sassafras in the Dandenong Ranges – hiding out in the cutest cottage. Neither of them can remember what was said in the proposal but that there were a lot of tears and hugging. We celebrated by going out for dinner, going back to the cottage, putting on our robes and watching Border Security in front of the fire.

What style/theme have you chosen for your wedding day?

We’ve gone for a rustic/earthy winery style wedding with a pop of fun here and there 🙂

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Marrying the absolute shit out of each other! (Surrounded by our family and friends of course). Coming together and celebrating with all our loved ones means even more over the last two years spending so much time apart.

Top Tips!

Delegate! There are so many small things that need to be thought about and organised and it’s way too much to do on your own. Give your tribe jobs to do, it will make you and them feel better.
Listen to your heart. If you love something and it’s important to you, go for it! If you couldn’t care less about something, don’t let it absorb your energy and time.
