Our packages start at $5,200 and go up to $8,390, depending on hours of coverage and inclusions. Everything’s laid out clearly on our pricing page — no mystery, no “enquire for pricing” runaround. We reckon you’ve got enough to think about without playing email tennis just to find out if we’re in your budget.
Every Rick Liston + Co wedding package includes 6-8hours of coverage (depending on your package) and everything you need to relive and share your day. No matter which package you choose, you’ll get:

You’ll get a sneak peek slideshow within 48 hours of your wedding — a handpicked set of highlights to relive the day while it’s still fresh (and to make all your guests jealous). Your full gallery lands within 3–4 weeks, delivered as an online gallery with high and low-res downloads, linked to a print lab so anyone can order prints without bothering you about it.
Our average gallery size is around 800 images. This can depend on hours of coverage and time in transit. In reality, this is more than you’ll ever know what to do with.
I shot my first Yarra Valley wedding in 2015, so it’s been over 10 years now
I have personally shot over 500 weddings and there are photographers on our team that have shot even more than me.
The Yarra Valley is our home turf and where we do most of our work, but we love a road trip (and the odd plane trip). Get in touch with your details, and we’ll sort it out.
The best way is to reach out via the enquiry form on our contact page. The good news is, with a team of associates, one of us should be available if Rick is not.
Easy. Get in touch through the contact page with your date and venue, we’ll confirm availability, and from there you can choose and accept your package through our online booking system — which sorts your invoice, contract and a cheeky “let’s get to know each other” questionnaire all in one go. A 20% booking fee locks in your date with the remainder due any time before your wedding.
Yes I am, and I am more than happy to send through my certificate of insurance to your venue if they require it.
Nope — honestly, this is what we’re best at. Most of our couples tell us beforehand they hate having their photo taken, and then have an absolute ball on the day. We don’t do stiff, awkward posing. We keep things loose, get you laughing (naturally, you’ll never hear us say “now laugh”), and the camera basically disappears. You’ll be amazed at what we get out of you. Just read our reviews and you’ll see this is what shines through.
The promise is within 48 hours, but we have never once taken longer than 24 hours.
A bit of both — and there’s an art to getting the balance right. Our style is candid, but that doesn’t mean we just point a camera and hope. We’re always quietly making sure you’re in the best light with a background that shows off your venue. From there, instead of posing you into stiff, awkward shapes, we give you little prompts and let the real reactions happen. So what ends up in your gallery isn’t you performing for a camera — it’s the genuine stuff, just gently steered so it actually looks incredible.
The opposite. Guests regularly mistake us for one of the wedding party rather than the photographer. We’re there to capture the day, not run it — quiet, unobtrusive, and reading the room. You’ll forget we’re even working.
If it’s in the Yarra Valley, I’ll be shocked if we haven’t shot there multiple times.
You have the option to book a second photographer if you’d like one, and we can discuss whether or not this is the right fit for you. They can add alternative angles during the ceremony, shots of your guests during canapes and have the time to cover the details of the reception setup.
The legends you’re seeing are our associate photographers — a handpicked team who shoot in the same candid, documentary style and bring the same energy to a wedding day that we’re known for. Every one of them has been personally selected because their work and their vibe are genuinely aligned with ours.
You might book an associate for one of two reasons: either Rick’s already taken on your date (sad face, but it happens), or you’d like to take advantage of the $1,000 associate photographer discount. Either way, Rick is still across everything else — the pre-wedding emails, your day timeline, and all of the editing. The person behind the camera changes; the Rick Liston + Co experience doesn’t.
Photography is our thing — and we reckon it’s better to be brilliant at one thing than average at two. But we work alongside some genuinely kickass videographers whose values on the day align perfectly with ours: no “pretend to be happy!”, no awkward re-enactments, just legends who capture your day as it actually happens and turn it into a film you’ll never get tired of watching.

We’ve got it covered. Having associate photographers is the best insurance possible. They are already trained in my style and were selected because their personalities and skills were closely aligned with mine. So in the very rare event of an emergency, your day is never left uncovered. You’ll be in safe hands either way.
Honestly? Some of our favourite ever photos have been shot in the rain. There’s something about wet weather that strips away the “performing for the camera” energy and replaces it with pure, unguarded realness — and that’s exactly what we’re here for.
Practically speaking, we’ve shot over 1,000 weddings in the Yarra Valley. Rain is not a new concept to us. We know the wet-weather options for each venue and we travel with everything we need to keep shooting regardless of what the sky is doing. A bit of drizzle has never stopped us getting incredible photos — and occasionally it’s made them unforgettable.
The short answer: don’t stress about it. We’ve got you.
Weddings are our world — full days, full stories, full chaos. It’s where we do our best work and where we’ve chosen to put all of our energy, which means we don’t take on engagement shoots, proposals or elopements as standalone bookings.
If you’re planning a full wedding in the Yarra Valley, we’d love to be part of it. And if you’re after a photographer for something smaller, we’re happy to point you toward someone brilliant who’ll do it justice.
We do — and we’re genuinely proud of what we offer here. We’re partnered with Atkins Lab, the oldest print lab in Australia, who make what we consider to be the finest photography products in the country, full stop. Their albums are backed by a lifetime guarantee, which tells you everything you need to know about how seriously they take their craft.
Your online gallery is linked directly to Atkins Lab, so anyone from your wedding (guests included) can order prints without having to chase you about it. And when you’re ready to hold your whole wedding story in your hands as a proper album, we’ll work with you to create something genuinely beautiful.
