Tell me about The Beginning!
We met at church, I started to attend the church that Cheryl attended, it took quite a while but then I sent her a message, and from there we started to jump on phone calls and go for walks – and it just kept growing from there.
When and where did you get engaged?
We got engaged at the Taj Mahal, Agra – It was while we took a trip over to India so Tim could meet my family and celebrate my aunty & my brother’s birthday.. I had no clue He had bought a ring or asked my mum for permission to marry me.
While we were on a 3 day tour of the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur) – it was early morning at the Taj Mahal where he proposed to me. We found a spot that wasn’t filled with people, and he asked our tour guide to video what was about to happen. The tour guide couldn’t believe what was about to happen, and spoil the surprise “OMG are you going to propose?” – Spoiler alert – Tim got down on one knee and asked the question. As we play back the video, all you can hear is the tour guide saying “OMG OMG OMG” over and over again!
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
Our colour is Sage Green and white – we are going for a simple but elegant look.
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Being surrounded by loved ones, being able to share our love with all of our friends and family.
Top Tips!
This is a real tricky one – Tim travels a lot for work, it makes it very hard to find time for us both to sit down and really figure stuff out for our wedding – I guess for advice, find time! Ask for advice, but also don’t take all the advice? If you have too much, you won’t start.
