Flowerdale Estate Wedding of Simone and Brett

Tell me about your The Beginning!
Well it all started with a glance across a computer screen back in early 2016.
Simone and Brett first met whilst at work. I’m not actually sure that they even knew each other’s names, but Brett did notice the girl with the intriguing tattoo on the back of her neck, and Simone the man with the wordly charm.
After a while, Simone left to pursue another path, but kept lots of great mates from her time there… One night the work team were out for drinks and somehow Simone’s number was exchanged and Simone got an out of the blue text from Brett asking about Staffy puppies… Well Simone thought this was a strange message to receive, but politely responded and thought that would be it.
Looking back now, luckily she did because that first text turned into something special. A great friendship at first and then a great love that will last the rest of their years.

When and where did you get engaged?
We got engaged at Marnong Estate on our 2nd Anniversary – 3/11/2020 – it was within our 25km zone, just……
(We were meant to get married on our 3rd anniversary last year…)

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
Old Rustic charm… Vintage Banana boxes, preserved native flowers for table arrangements, fresh natives for bouquets etc…. Stained wooden signs (which we made :-))

What are you most looking forward to on the day?
The party – being able to celebrate with our loved ones, some whom we haven’t seen in years due to border closures etc.

Top Tips!
Write everything down!!. We spend an enormous amount of time discussing things about the wedding, but then don’t write them down, forget we’ve discussed them and then have the same conversation over and over again…… we now have a spreadsheet.

Realise that things will happen out of your control, you just need to go with the flow and make the best of the situation…
