Yarra Ranges Estate Wedding of Chloe and Stefan

May 3, 2025

Tell me about The Beginning!

We met online, 6 years ago on Hinge. We had both had some failed dates and had both had long term relationships that had ended a year before we met and we both were kind of starting to lose hope in the dating world and were both going to take a break. It was then that Stefan came across my profile, he sent me a message asking if I would be interested in going on a date and if I wanted to talk more off of the app. I was quite blunt haha and said that I was going to be getting rid of the app and I guess if he wanted to message me he could and I sent him my number. Knowing that if I deleted the app before Stefan got my message, it would be gone for good. I must have been interested as I left it for a couple of hours before I deleted the app (hoping he had written my number down!) and then I got a text message and met him less than a week later.
Our first date was I went to his house and met all his fur babies (2 of them we still have to this day) and he drove us to the city to go to Rare Steakhouse. It was so relaxing, easy and was such a great night that I stayed at his place all weekend!

When and where did you get engaged?

We went on a mini getaway to Tasmania and had organised a lovely Air Bnb in Hobart that overlooked the Mona and the water. On our last night, Stefan had organised a private chef to come and cook us dinner and he had set the table up on the balcony. I had gotten sick about 2 days in so I was very sick during this dinner but at the end of the beautiful meal, the chef told me to close my eyes while he brought out dessert. He told me when to open my eyes and I looked down at my plate and there was cheesecake that had the words in coulis ‘Will you Marry Me?’. I turned around and the chef was filming the proposal and Stefan was down on one knee holding the ring.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

Classic and Romantic. Our theme is white- white flowers, white furniture. White everything!

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Having a great time with our friends and family, having a laugh and a drink and celebrating. We have been to a lot of weddings so are excited that we get to have our day!

Top Tips!

Make lists, lots of lists lol
Get feelers out for suppliers you like the look of early so you get who you want and also get an understanding of the price.
Have a budget! It can get out of control if you don’t know what you need to have/how much you want to spend.
Think about whether the smaller details are important, weddings are stressful and time consuming to plan and if you have experience of going to other people’s weddings, you will be able to identify things that get overlooked and that you can save money on! (Bonbonnieres, a cake big enough to give everyone a piece etc)
