Tell me about the Beginning!
Our story started long before we ever realised it would turn into forever. We both went to the same high school, passing each other in the corridors, even having lockers right near each other but never speaking a word. A few years later, fate stepped in through a message, and suddenly we were planning our very first date. From that very first moment, we hit it off, laughing, talking, and realising we’d found something special. Nearly 10 years later, here we are, two German Shepherds, a house we’ve lovingly renovated, countless adventures, and a whole lot of growing up side by side. We have built a life filled with love, laughter, and resilience. We’ve faced challenges, celebrated milestones, and truly watched each other grow into the people we are today.
When and where did you get engaged?
On the 5th of March 2023, our next chapter officially began. We went for a peaceful walk around the Springs with our dogs on the most perfect, sun-drenched day. On a little bridge overlooking the water, Jordy dropped to one knee. The dogs wagged excitedly as if they knew exactly what was happening. With the golden sun sparkling across the lake, I said yes to forever.
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
We’ve chosen a look that is classy, elegant, and timeless. Think black-and-white minimalism, with bold pops of red and delicate touches of baby pink. An Old Hollywood vibe runs through it all: romantic, chic, and a little dramatic, just the way we like it.
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
For us, this day isn’t just about a wedding, it’s about celebrating nearly a decade of love, growth, and shared memories. It’s about finally tying the knot with the love of our lives, uniting our families, and filling the day with laughter, dancing, and good times surrounded by the people who mean the most to us. That first moment we see each other at the aisle. The joy of officially becoming husband and wife. And of course, enjoying the night away with all our favourite people.
