Tell me about The Beginning!
So I (Alex) was over visiting my best friend who was engaged. I was based in London so coming all the way to Aus was a big deal. I was of course going to be their best man and I was also in town for their engagement party. So the newly engaged couple thought they would set me up on a blind date with their mate. I went on the date and now I have been with her for 6 years almost. We dated long distance before i took the plunge and moved here. Now we have 2 kids a house and a beautiful family.
When and where did you get engaged?
We got engaged at The Pig hotel in the new forest in England. The hotel may sound a bit rubbish but it’s actually a 5 star country retreat that is incredible. It was a magical weekend and i proposed through a game of monopoly deal in our cottage style room there that weekend.
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
There’s no style or theme, we just want everyone to be relaxed and to have the best time.
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Haha I would say we are looking forward to having all our family and friends gathered to party and celebrate with us, I have some friends and family from the UK coming and that’s special too.
