Satoko + David held their beautiful Yering Station wedding at the start of Spring in 2017. They managed to defy the weather report of rain all day and were gifted with beautiful, dramatic skies. Though I suspect if it had have rained, it wouldn’t have bothered them in the slightest. David and Satoko are extremely comfortable in themselves and in their relationship. David is disarming and hilarious and Satoko balances him out with her utter tenderness. I really cherished a short walk we took together through Yering Station’s signature Oak trees, which were yet to get their leaves and complimented the dark skies beautifully.
Satoko’s florist was the loveable Youki from Sugar Bee Flowers. Satoko had the rare pleasure of meeting Youki’s mother by chance on a Shinkansen in Tokyo, who raved about her daughter living far away in the Yarra Valley, unbeknownst to either she would years later be doing the flowers for Satoko’s wedding.
Thank you both so much for inviting me to be a part of your day, I hope you love the photos as much as I do.
